About the piece:
John Moore is a wildlife artist who is passionate in giving animals a voice. His father is a veterinarian, so he was introduced to all sorts of weird and wonderful animals from a young age. His love for wildlife blossomed from there, going into the African bush at any opportunity, gaining him a deep knowledge of the fauna and flora of South Africa. He now looks at the plights of animals facing extinction. In this artwork, an Indian rhino stands proud and majestic: he charges the environment with his presence, knowing there is a magic of his existence. The use of silver pigment reflects light, further stressing the rhino’s radiant potential.
