About the piece:
Most of Nick’s sculptures are based on observations made in the wild. She believes that this is the only way to really connect with the animal on its own level. Nick aims to understand the animal, its environment, behaviour and personality. This rhino was inspired by the birth of Thandi’s grandchild. Thandi was the rhino who survived being poached for her horns.
At least 50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
