Rays at the Beach

Rays at the Beach
Neal Pun
About the piece:
This epoxy piece was inspired by an incredible aerial photograph of a sting ray and an eagle ray gliding through the shallows of Hamelin Bay in Western Australia. It shows how marine life contributes to the stunning beauty of the waters on Earth. It is heart-breaking to see how humans have exploited the oceans’ natural resources and the devastating consequences this has left on aquatic life. Thus, the artist wants this piece to raise awareness of how fragile and precious each and every resident of the ocean is and hopes that this artwork will contribute to protecting species.
