About the piece:
UK artist Martin Buffery spent half an hour watching this crow on a harbour side in Norway and loved its unusual colouring and inquisitive nature. Only after returning home did he discover that the white markings were a genetic condition. Martin thought it was too beautiful not to paint, and being mindful of recent events and racial tensions in our world. In his mind this bird is even more special than a ‘normal’ all black crow.
