Andrew created these paintings from drawings taken from his Safari Sketchbook on a recent trip to the Masai Mara in Kenya (see ‘I’m A Gnu: How Do You Do?’).
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Andrew Curtis studied Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford University, where he studied anatomy under Jonathan Kingdon, author of East African Mammals. He has exhibited with the New English Art Club, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Oil Painters (winner of the 2002 Winsor and Newton Award) and the Royal West of England Academy, as well as galleries in the UK, Japan and USA. Curtis has been selected twice as a finalist in the Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition.
