Great Egret Green Water

Great Egret Green Water
Chris Shields
ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:
With it’s crisp white plumage and elegant pose this great white egret stood out superbly well against the dark green tree reflections in the still waters of this pool in Cors Bodeilio national nature reserve on Anglesey. I have visited this reserve many times and always find inspiration for artwork there.
This work was painted in acrylic and applied loosely with a pallet knife, concentrating on the flickering light as a breeze danced across the water rather than any distracting details.
