Dreamlike

Dreamlike
Malaurie Auliac
Highly Commended
About the piece:
Deforestation and global warming are increasingly causing droughts and fires in Australia, where Koalas live. The “Dreamlike” painting represents this small animal, which today has a rapidly declining population in a highly fragile habitat. He is clinging with all his might to this tree, lost in dreams, which perhaps take him to a better world…The leaves of gold, copper, silver and aluminium illustrate the wind and the flames that destroy its environment.
