Don’t Mess with Our Home, Bee Kind to Elephants

Don’t Mess with Our Home, Bee Kind to Elephants
George Fox
About the piece:
George’s illustrations focus on the world of evolution vs modern technology. Focusing on engineering and mechanics he creates complex and beautiful art using pumps, cogs and levers that come to life with Augmented Reality. In light of this, George believes we need to educate ourselves on the impact humans are having on the natural world. We take for granted the beautiful wildlife, animals and ecosystems in which modern man lives. Today’s world is now structured by mechanics and technology that our animal predecessors have had to accommodate. This illustration aims to raise awareness of human-elephant conflict occurring where elephants are exploring migratory routes and either being blocked by new developments or breaking into farmland plots. The practical solution of bees can ensure a protected environment and encourage a safe, sustainable future for elephants and communities. The illustration questions how human impact might result in a negative ‘catalyst’ of the elephant’s evolution unless we look to work with local communities with practical solutions such as the Bees Project.
