Curlew Moon

Curlew Moon
Hilary Kington
About The Piece
Curlew Moon is a variable edition inscribed woodcut print. On a winter salt marsh, under the light of a full moon, curlews fly in. The words scribed into the landscape tell of the relationship between the curlew and the moon. In centuries to come the moon will still rise and command the tide but will the curlew still be here? Hilary Kington describes herself as a wildlife watcher, painter and printmaker with a passion for salt marshes. She says “In our fragile world conservation is now a key element of my art.
