Cabbage, Meet Me at the Savoy

Cabbage, Meet Me at the Savoy
Geri Waddington
About the piece:
Geri is a professional artist-printmaker, having exhibited in several public collections. ‘Cabbage, Meet Me at the Savoy’ is part of an ongoing project exploring how the natural world makes use of man-made structures and environments, whether for food, shelter or community. The Savoy of the title is from a market in France where the snails lived in an old French farmhouse. Her subjects often develop over a number of years, as early sketches from observation are translated into an engraved block, and then through proofing and refining the work is completed, every stage being undertaken by hand.
At least 50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
