About the piece:
Susan received an honours degree in art in the USA and worked for over twenty years in the commercial art field. Beginning as a graphic designer in print media she transitioned into web design and illustration. She has been selling her paintings through galleries both in the United States and in England since 2000. Working mainly in oil, her favourite subjects are animals, still life and people. ‘Birdbath’ captures a moment in which a little fluffed up sparrow was taking a bath in her back garden bird bath. She found it such a joy to watch and endeavoured to capture her reverie in paint.
