My foundry bronze with white marble patina sculpture was inspired by those precious moments of a bird at rest, reflecting the feelings of peace and tranquility in the midst of an otherwise hectic life, feelings applicable to both the animal and human kingdoms alike.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: “Steve Parsons is a designer, beginning his career as an award winning contemporary jewellery designer. He has now progressed to become a sculptor, a natural evolution to the larger scale, his sinuous lines from decades of jewellery design translating beautifully to this new medium. Taking himself back to school, he has spent the last years studying at The Sculpture School and now, from his studio in North Devon, he sculpts these designs encapsulating the very essence of the animal or bird and ultimately casting in foundry bronze and resins with an emphasis on the final textures and patinations.”
