I wanted my artwork to portray the imposing beauty of the Glaciers of El Calafate and the breathtaking colour of Lake Argentino. The painting invites contemplation of nature in its purest form, highlighting the fragility of these landscapes in the face of climate change.
MEDIUM: Oil on canvas
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Vander Pereira de Armeda instinctively began painting at age 7. While others played soccer, he spent his teenage years drawing and studying artistic and advertising design. He painted on wood and canvas, filling his room with art. As an adult, he started selling his paintings until family and work took priority. In 2019, at 50, with life more stable, Vander returned to painting through an academic art course. Since then, he has created many pieces and exhibited works in São Paulo, Barueri, and now internationally in London with Glaciers of El Calafate.
