This painting explores beauty and belonging. Vibrant parakeets, stunning yet out of place, perch among copper leaves. Originally from distant lands, these birds remind us how ecosystems shift due to human intervention. While their presence adds an exotic beauty to the landscape, it also raises questions about biodiversity.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Eleonora Martorana is a wildlife and gold leaf artist. Born in Rome, since 2000 she has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. She is a member of the Association of Animal Artists and was a finalist at Wildlife Artist of the Year in 2021. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome in 2008 and started working in decorative arts and conservation workshops in Italy and the UK. Her artwork is present in collections in Italy, the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Brazil, the USA, and Canada.
