No. 35 – Detlef Tibax – Silverback

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:

Detlef Tibax is a passionate wildlife artist from Belgium who uses art as a medium to raise as much funding for conservation as possible. To realise this, he launched a non-profit in 2020 and has since donated close to £12,000 to charities. Wildlife ‘artivism’ and the art of reconnecting people to the wild is his professional focus in life.

#SKETCHFORWILDLIFE: 

Each year, the talented artists who take part in DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year are invited to participate in #SketchForWildlife.  

By painting or drawing a small image on a postcard it gives visitors to the online exhibition a chance to own a totally unique piece of work, by a highly sought after collection of artists.  

The postcards have always been extremely popular and we hope you will support this initiative which allows more people to own a unique piece of original art, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. The subject and medium of the postcard was entirely up to the artist, with the subject matter being their own celebration of the natural world.   

100% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
