Gordon Pembridge – Dappled Respite

£14,000

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

In his oil painting “Dappled Respite” Gordon wanted to portray the midday heat in Africa, the welcoming dappled shade, the entanglement of branches as if writhing in the agonising heat, providing shelter and respite for a confusion of guinea fowl. The painting is a study of highlight and shadow, of dapple and dot and the beauty and elegance of the hardy guinea fowl.
