Bill Prickett – Orca, Tail Swipe

£3,900

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

Hand carved from birch plywood and selectively stained with ink, Bill Prickett’s sculpture ‘Orca, Tail Swipe’ shows an adolescent male killer whale (Orcinus orca) as it casually side swipes a school of fish. This behaviour is intended to stun multiple prey so that the orca can turn and collect the fish with little effort.
