Alicia Hayden – High Lux

£750

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION:

Artificial light disrupts the behaviour of nocturnal moths, attracting them away from flowers. Using lino cuts, Alicia wanted to represent the hopeless fluttering of moths fatally attracted to artificial light at night, contrasting this with the night-scented flowers, which would struggle without their pollinators.
