Pie has earned a reputation for using paint to connect people, stories, and place. Her work is grounded in collaboration with communities, mirroring the grassroots conservation projects DSWF funds and supports across Africa and Asia – making her the perfect partner for this year’s expansive WAY celebrations.
A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Pie was awarded the prestigious Carnegie Scholarship for her degree show at the Royal Scottish Academy’s New Contemporaries exhibition. Her work has garnered international recognition through residencies and exhibitions in London, New York, Marrakech, Nairobi, and Ghana.
Pie’s striking, spontaneous mural will be created live outside the Mall Galleries from 10am on opening day. Once completed, this one-of-a-kind piece will be available to view (and purchase!) as part of the WAY 2025 exhibition. So, if you don’t catch it live and in-the-making, you’ll still be able to discover Pie’s unique work on display throughout the week.
