Jack Ball – Isolation

Drawing, Original | 58 × 79 cm | Framed

Out of stock

The artist Jack Ball is intrigued by the strong nature and features of the rhino. His creation of this bold piece, using black and white framing, displays the creature’s inquisitive side by having the rhino interact with the frame, creating the illusion of depth and escaping from a solitary existence.

Graphite on paper

Jack Ball is a UK based artist who has developed a practice that accurately illustrates the natural world using traditional mediums; primarily graphite or watercolour. Accuracy being a fundamental aspect of realism, Jack’s practice seeks to reflect that precision but also display the unique qualities of the medium. His practice explores the intimate depiction of nature, ranging from expressive portraiture of wildlife to detailed illustrations of botanical flora. Jack focuses on the subject’s texture and form to produce a highly detailed realism that evokes immediate recognition in the viewer and producing imagery that displays knowledge and deep understanding of his chosen subject.
