Slightly larger than a fingernail, this baby shows that even the tiniest creatures quietly carry out vital roles. Often overlooked, they move unseen yet help hold the threads of our ecosystems together. This piece is a reminder that even the smallest lives matter and that balance, beauty, and resilience often begin where we least expect them, hidden in plain sight.

Thanks to Jess, 50% of the net proceeds from the sale of this artwork will support the charitable work of DSWF and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jess Pritchard is a multi-award winning wildlife conservation artist who creates both realist and semi-abstract artworks in pencil and paint. She began her professional art career nine years ago and has since taken part in multiple high profile exhibitions up and down the country including those held in the Mall Galleries, London’s Oxo tower and a solo exhibition at Worcester Cathedral.

Jess is an ambassador for Derwent Art, Britain’s largest pencil brand, and has also raised thousands of pounds for various conservation organisations to help protect the wildlife that inspires her each day. In 2023, two of Jess’ artworks were selected for Wildlife Artist of the Year at the Mall Galleries in London with ‘Hear Me Roar’ being awarded the title of ‘hero piece’ to be used on all publicity material for the exhibition. Her mission is to raise awareness of the vulnerability of the planet and the species that live on it through her art and raise vital funds to give a future to the next generation of animals.
