DSWF awarded ‘top-ranked’ change-maker status!

In a sector full of calls to fund causes close to home, raising funds and awareness for endangered wildlife can be a tough job. But, working with global crowd funding platform, GlobalGiving has really helped DSWF spread awareness to new audiences.

In 2016 GlobalGiving helped us raise £17,500 in support of our work to protect wildlife. We took part in bonus events and campaigns which helped us engage hundreds of new donors and as a result of our regular donor updates and activities on the platform DSWF has been awarded GlobalGiving top-ranked organization status for 2016.

Commenting on the award Emma Hersh of GlobalGiving said: “DSWF can share with the world that the organization has been vetted by GlobalGiving, was actively engaged in our community and was a top-ranked organization in 2016! We hope that publicly sharing your badge will help your organization continue to gain the recognition that you deserve as a trusted partner and change-maker in the world.”

DSWF currently has four funding streams active on GlobalGiving – Tigers in IndiaTigers in ThailandPainted Dogs in Zimbabwe and Snow Leopards in Mongolia. Of course, you can give to these programmes through this website too or by calling us on +44 (0)1483 272323 – but it’s great to know that our commitment to protecting wildlife is recognized by a great organization like GlobalGiving and that working with them is helping to raise even more funds and awareness for endangered wildlife.

“We’ll be running a series of campaigns and fundraising activities with GlobalGiving in 2017 and look forward to being a top-ranked ‘change-maker’ this year too,” says Vicky Flynn, DSWF’s head of communications. “Thank you to everyone who has supported us through this platform and special thanks to GlobalGiving who provide such great support for smaller charities like us.”
