Stopped in Their Tracks General January 23, 2018 Road kills impact thousands of animals every year around the world but in light of a recent spurt of cases in India impacting Tigers, Leopards, Fishing cats, Sloth bears, Hyena and other smaller mammals and reptiles, DSWF are delighted to be funding a new Wildlife Trust of India project. The ‘I Brake for Wildlife’ campaign aims to encourage local participation in reducing and reporting road kills. It will collate accurate and real-time details on road hits to as many stakeholders as possible through a specially designed mobile app, with the aim of preventing more road impacts in the future. The app launched this week, 22nd January 2018. Take a look here www.roadwatchers.org If you’d like to donate, and read about some of our other Rapid Action Projects in India please click here.
