The Cyclists are Finally on Their Way!

After months of planning and anticipation, our Wild Ride 2018 cyclists are finally on their bikes, on the road and on their way!

The first leg of their 400km journey has taken the conservation ambassadors west, to the headquarters of Game Rangers International on the outskirts of Kafue National Park.

Their closest wildlife encounters so far have been with the swarms of tsetse flies, which are biting our brave cyclists to bits!

They’re being closely followed along the way by DSWF’s Head of Programmes Georgina Lamb – David Shepherd’s granddaughter – who shot this video from one of the support vehicles:
