Learn About Wildlife

Wildlife education is at the core of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s (DSWF) vital conservation work. It has never been more important to engage the youth on environmental issues as we aim to turn the tide on extinction by inspiring the next generation of wildlife warriors.

“In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”

Teachers, parents, and child guardians can make use of our species fact sheets for school protects, word searches and colouring pages located in our Teach Children About Wildlife webpage, to activate young minds on conservation issues. We have also prepared downloadable PowerPoint for educators to make use of in their own time.

In addition to our educational school visits, DSWF is now offering Covid-19-friendly, curriculum-relevant virtual wildlife talks and assemblies with our dedicated Education Manager using online meeting platforms.

Change starts at home. If you are looking for a way to form green habits and help children make more sustainable decisions, please do take a look out our Green Ideas page because small changes can make a big difference in the future of our planet.
