Graphite pencil on paper
This artwork reflects the quiet resilience of the natural world. A beehive’s structure illustrates repair, restore and rebuild through collective patience and purpose. It is a reminder that with countless small efforts, even the most delicate framework can be restored through care. This piece highlights that in protecting bees, we protect more than just a species.
Artist biography Tom is a wildlife artist and musician who creates large artworks out of intricate layers of graphite. After extensively travelling South Africa, from Johannesburg to the Garden Route, he found a deep fascination with great white sharks and he spent time studying them in Gansbaai.
Global accreditations have seen Tom’s artwork sit within the homes of people like Sir David Attenborough, Jason Momoa and Clare Balding and he is published regularly in various magazines. Tom has exhibited in the VIP tents for Glastonbury Festival and Chelsea Football Stadium, and has been a category winner in the DSWF’s ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ competition multiple times.
50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
