ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Cheetah numbers have fallen by 90% in the last century. They are in real danger of becoming extinct in the wild and with a weakened gene pool could soon vanish forever. This artwork is created from hand embossed or ‘blind printed’ paper which has a natural camouflage appearance and symbolises their decline in numbers.

Jane Veveris Callan is a painter, printmaker and mixed media artist. Her artwork represents and celebrates her love of nature and respect for the natural world. She enjoys using her work to invite reflection and conversation about the environmental challenges our planet faces today and to support wildlife and conservation initiatives.
