ABOUT THE ARTWORK Created with gouache and Prismacolour pencils, “Wild Wingbeat” explores the tension between nature and the rapidly changing human world. Inspired by the sight of birds thriving amid urban structures, Yujoo imagined a wingbeat powerful enough to cross boundaries between wilderness and civilisation. The vibrant owl symbolises resilience, freedom, and adaptation, while the monochrome surroundings reflect the pressures of modern life. Through this work, the artist hopes to celebrate the enduring spirit of wildlife and humanity’s responsibility to protect it.
