ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Red Sea Amphitheatre” was inspired by a recent dive trip to El Gouna in Egypt. A montage of several parts of the same dive, this piece attempts to bring into focus the behaviours of myriad Red Sea species in their vibrant habitat. Paul focuses on how different species interact, who they partner with, and who they avoid. Using specialist acrylics that adhere well to metal, this painting was created in hundreds of hours over five months.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Paul Fearn is a contemporary marine wildlife artist focusing on the manipulation of copper sheets as canvases. With 20 years of scuba diving experience all over the world he brings the underwater landscape into focus, using chemical patination for his backgrounds and supplementing the scenes with vibrant acrylics. Paul’s mission is to document the underwater world as he sees it, bringing his passion for this environment to the viewer.
