“Hopeful” is a portrait of a Malayan sun bear in mixed media on paper. The artwork represents our undying hope for a brighter future for threatened species around the world. The bear’s natural colourings have been brightened to enhance that feeling.

Angelica Eriksson is a self-taught visual artist based in Västerås, Sweden. She works in painting, drawing, murals, sculpture, and paper craft. Her artwork has been exhibited at several public places around Sweden. Her motives focus mainly on endangered species and the environment.
