ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Christian has always been fascinated by how wildlife can sustain a healthy ecosystem. “Prowling at Dusk” combines vibrant colours, abstract shapes, and the Colorado landscape to create a living world perfectly synchronised within its environment.

Christian’s aim is to engage the viewer to subconsciously gaze through the painting from left to right; starting at the stealth of the mountain lion and finishing at the hunted elk. This movement from each animal conducts a visual wildlife journey.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Originally from Kent, England, Christian Dore’s artistic career began in London as a graphic designer for the BBC. After moving to Colorado 28 years ago his artistic focus turned to painting, as the extraordinary landscape of his current home provides a grounding and inspiration for his work.

Christian takes nature and mixes it with expressive colours and shapes to create highly imaginative and impressionistic paintings. Dore’s work immerses the viewer in a phenomenal visual exploration capturing his abstract wildlife experiences.
