ABOUT THE ARTWORK “Proud Parents” is a raw-edge, fused and stitched fabric collage. It is made of commercial cotton fabrics, recycled clothing, satin, and silk, with the layers held together by free-motion stitching.

ABOUT THE ARTIST A doctor and scientist by training, Mary Sneyd began exploring textile art in 2014. Her works include the human form, landscapes, and animals, and have placed in a number of national art awards. A portrait of a Mongolian eagle hunter is currently showing at the International Museum of Art and Science, Texas, USA, and her portraits of humans and birds feature in several books. She has artworks in Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, China, USA, Australia, the Netherlands and the UK.
