ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a group of griffon vultures perched on a rocky outcrop at dawn. For several days, Jorge visited the site early in the morning to make sketches and take photographs of these birds, eventually creating this watercolour. The observations took place in Cabañas del Castillo, in Extremadura (Spain).

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jorge López is an artist who works primarily in watercolour. He creates small watercolour sketches and takes photographs in the field, later developing the final artwork in his studio. He focuses mainly on birds, using a spotting scope to observe every detail. Occasionally, he also uses canvas and acrylics for his work.
