As she painted this picture, Carla felt as though she were gazing directly into the soul of the wild. The zebra’s gaze drew her ever deeper in, as if it were confiding its story. Every line, every shadow, and every reflection in its eye seemed like a dialogue between them. Carla wanted not merely to portray an animal, but to capture the quiet strength, the dignity, and the untamed freedom that moved her so deeply in that moment.
