ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Suspended in an almost empty space, as if emerging from the fog or slowly dissolving into it. The upper body of the giraffe is defined and alive, while the rest gradually fades into the white of the canvas. The work doesn’t scream—delicate and elegant—just as its extinction is, which erases it silently and quietly.

With a degree in architecture and years of experience in advertising as a creative, Stefano Zagaglia has pursued his artistic path independently. Deeply inspired by Africa and its wildlife, Stefano uses oil painting to explore the dignity, presence, and individuality of animals. Through light, texture, and careful observation, he seeks to create intimate encounters that invite reflection on our relationship with nature. His work balances technical precision and emotional sensitivity, celebrating beauty, vulnerability, and coexistence.
