ABOUT THE ARTWORK This drawing shows Fipsel, a beautiful pigeon that was rescued as a chick in Hamburg. The rescuer Ernst Barmert provided the photo template. The pigeon is drawn to show how worthy the protection of these animals is. Pastel colours were used to create the fine plumage.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Inga Laubenstein is an artist based in Hamburg, Germany, who would like to give animals from animal welfare a face and thus special attention. For this purpose, Inga has been using coloured pencils and pastel colours since her childhood. She gives away a large part of her drawings in exchange for the promise of a donation to animal welfare.
