ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This critically endangered ibis is vanishing fast with its violet, iridescent feathers and decidedly punk-rock demeanour. The ibis was revered as a symbol of brilliance and splendour in the ancient world. They are graced with the most psychedelic plumage for a largely dark, monochrome bird, hence “Darkadelic”, and also in tribute to a brilliant album being played while creating the image.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tim studied art over 40 years ago and has been selected as a Wildlife Artist of the Year finalist for 11 years. His passion is for conservation and wildlife and he captures the characters of his subjects in his own unique style. His seemingly random scribbles build up a complex texture to give the desired effect. What appears abstract close up, is revealed in full when you step back and view the image as a whole. Tim uses different mediums from the traditional ink and ink wash to create different tones and marks.
