This illustration captures two magnificent rhinos gently touching horns in a moment of quiet affection. Their calm, trusting connection is deeply moving, made all the more poignant by the threat of extinction that relentless poaching casts over their species. Icons of Africa’s Big Five, they embody strength and resilience, yet this tender exchange reveals a touching vulnerability. In their unguarded bond, we are reminded not only of what makes them extraordinary, but also of how fragile their future truly is.

Jen Bradford is South African hyper-realistic artist with an unwavering respect and love for wildlife in her country. Living so close to the African bush, she is blessed with the opportunities to witness wildlife in its natural habitat and is intent on capturing their spirit on paper so their legacies will remain long after their footprints have walked this earth. As a graphic designer, she has a detailed approach to her work, no matter the medium.
