ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When African lions find a prey, they stalk it, usually with their heads lowered and their ears flattened, in what looks like a crawling position. This particular lioness was with a small pride of females that had spread out and flanked a herd of Cape buffalo. Lisa followed the pride and photographed this lioness while she stalked the herd who were low in the grass, waiting for the perfect moment to ambush and strike a vulnerable buffalo.

Medium: Pastel
Category: Animal Behaviour
