ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Created using coloured pencils and acrylic markers in a mixed-media style, this artwork depicts two birds-of-paradise in the lush rainforests of Papua. The layered textures and vibrant colours highlight the elegance and uniqueness of these iconic birds while celebrating the richness of tropical biodiversity. The piece aims to inspire appreciation for wildlife and raise awareness of the importance of conserving endangered species and their natural habitats.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ian Je (15) is a student at British School Jakarta in Banten, Indonesia. Passionate about visual arts, he explores environmental and social themes through his work, using symbolism and thoughtful composition to encourage reflection. Ian continues to develop his skills while participating in exhibitions and competitions that celebrate young artists.
