ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This image depicts two very young elephants playing together. Miles photographed them many years ago and was captivated by their interaction, although the original photographs themselves were not particularly successful. A few years ago, he revisited those images and decided to use several of them as reference photos for this drawing. Their playful energy continues to make Miles smile every time he sees them.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Miles resumed drawing in 2021 after a 35-year hiatus, during which he built a career in the camera department of the film and television industry. What began as a creative pastime soon developed into a genuine passion.

Inspired by the natural world, he focuses primarily on wildlife subjects, reflecting a lifelong fascination with animals and their habitats. Although graphite remains his principal medium, he is increasingly exploring new materials and techniques, allowing his artistic style to evolve and expand.
