ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece reproduces one of Indra S. Wonowidjojo’s own photographs in watercolour. Taken from a trip to Kenya where rhinos have successfully been protected from horn poachers, and so can be seen with their full horns intact. In this painting, we can see a mother and calf rhino at the edge of the forest.

As a long established wildlife photographer, Indra S. Wonowidjojo has only recently started to experiment in sketching and watercolour painting. Just as in her photography, she wants her paintings to raise awareness on how beautiful, but also how fragile, nature is.
