ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“After The Rain XX” sheds light on the beauty of creatures so often overlooked. Inspired by their quiet nature, it invites viewers to slow down, observe, and recognise value in even the most reserved and unassuming elements of life. Interested in bringing the outside in, these slugs become both familiar and strange, encouraging a closer, more attentive way of seeing.

Medium: Ceramic stoneware
Category: Animal Behaviour

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tally Walker Warne is a London based sculptor and painter. Rooted in a lifelong fascination with animals and the natural world, her work lingers on the overlooked.

Installed in both domestic and gallery contexts, her ceramic slug sculptures prompt a reconsideration of familiarity, intimacy, and beauty. These creatures, often dismissed as repellent, interrogate conventional hierarchies of subject matter.

Her work maintains a constant dialogue with her surroundings, bringing the outside in and challenging viewers to reconsider the familiar.
