ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this vast expanse, time slows down. From high above, the golden-brown plains reveal their secrets, a delicate web of life woven into the very crust of the earth. Groups of elephants move like slow, grey shadows across the terrain, their heavy footsteps carving invisible paths through the scrub. They are the guardians of this wilderness, wandering beneath the shade of sparse, amber-topped trees that dot the horizon like scattered jewels.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sushma Yadav is a graduate from the National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design in 2017. This formal training serves as the foundation for her current practice, which merges the structural precision of textile design with mixed-media wildlife art. Her work is characterised by a tactile, layered approach, utilising acrylics, fabric fragments, and gold foil.
