ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The rhinoceros emerges from the white with strength and dignity, its gaze direct and its horn prominent. The paint and the movement around its body suggest a presence that simultaneously takes shape and threatens to dissolve. The work creates a contrast between its solidity and the fragility of its destiny, reminding us how such a powerful creature can be threatened to the point of almost disappearing.

With a degree in architecture and years of experience in advertising as a creative, Stefano Zagaglia has pursued his artistic path independently. Deeply inspired by Africa and its wildlife, Stefano uses oil painting to explore the dignity, presence, and individuality of animals. Through light, texture, and careful observation, he seeks to create intimate encounters that invite reflection on our relationship with nature. His work balances technical precision and emotional sensitivity, celebrating beauty, vulnerability, and coexistence.
