ABOUT THE ARTWORK
“Rest Between Realms” depicts a maturing male lion who has been exiled from the realm of his natal pride and now faces the challenges of solitary life as a nomad. He will need to gather all of his strength and take his necessary rest before engaging in battle with other males to secure territory of his own.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Justin Mark is a wildlife artist whose work focuses on capturing the individuality and character of each animal subject. Inspired by a deep appreciation for wildlife, Justin’s artwork combines careful observation with technical precision to portray animals with a high level of realism, using mainly graphite and charcoal.
