ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Hannah Shergold strives to capture movement and energy in her paintings. In this piece, the vibrant background has just as much of a part to play as the subject in capturing the young chimp swinging through the trees. Using every colour except the ‘correct’ ones, the piece brings a joyful happiness that we have come to expect from these beautiful youngsters.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hannah Shergold is a professional artist specialising in African and British wildlife and portraiture. Since leaving the Armed Forces in 2018 she has become one of the UK’s most successful self-representing artists with her unique style being sought by international collectors.

Since its inception, Hannah’s art has raised over £450,000 for charity. With a deep passion for conservation charities she was made an ambassador to Tusk in 2022, for whom last year alone she raised over £120,000, as well as painting Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood. In October 2026 Hannah will once again take over Mall Galleries for her solo exhibition.
