About the piece:
Cy Baker sees his job as an artist to spread the message of how valuable, beautiful and fragile our planet is. He tries to do this by capturing and communicating some of the raw, spiritual emotion felt when interacting with the natural world. ‘New Forest Deer’ was inspired by a real event, in which Cy was walking in the New Forest and spotted a group of red deer. Six deer have been captured in this drawing, with the sixth only just being visible.
