This piece captures different species coexisting in a wild space, dynamically following their own rhythms and sometimes colliding, to create a sense of harmony. Through oil paint, Sarah brings colour and light into this scene inspired by Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau.

Artist biography
Sarah is a zoologist, advocate, and painter who celebrates nature through her art. This passion, and time spent observing wildlife, allows her work to highlight animal behaviour on canvas, through body language, interactions, and environment.

Using oils and charcoals, Sarah captures the essence of her subjects through expression and intuitive loose mark making. Guided by a fascination for the natural world, her paintings follow, ignited by her encounters in the wild.

50% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
