TITLE: 24kt Gold Leaf Bumblebee

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Danni Bradford specialises in the endangered art of ‘Verre-Eglomise’, the gilding of glass. Each piece is hand inked and painted onto glass, then gilded in metal leaf such as 24kt gold, copper or silver. The scarcity of artists working in Verre-Eglomise has led to it being placed on the Heritage Craft Association’s ‘Red List’ of crafts that are likely to become lost art forms. By combining this rare art form with her own fine art practice, Danni has set a benchmark in the use of this art form with the creation of her innovative, distinctive, unique and contemporary pieces.
#SKETCHFORWILDLIFE: Each year, the talented artists who take part in DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year are invited to participate in #SketchForWildlife. By painting or drawing a small image on a postcard it gives visitors to the online exhibition a chance to own a totally unique piece of work, by a highly sought after collection of artists.
The postcards have always been extremely popular and we hope you will support this initiative which allows more people to own a unique piece of original art, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. The subject and medium of the postcard was entirely up to the artist, with the subject matter being their own celebration of the natural world.
DELIVERY INFORMATION: This piece will be posted to buyers after conclusion of the exhibition on 16 September 2023. UK delivery costs are included in the price. International postage may incur additional costs that will be confirmed after purchase.
